What is Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave Therapy uses controlled acoustic pressure waves delivered through a handheld device to the injured area. These waves increase local circulation, stimulate tissue repair, and modulate pain. It is non invasive and adjustable for comfort. At OsteoFlow we use a Swiss engineered Storz Masterpuls ONE device and treatments are delivered by a Registered Massage Therapist.

What To Expect
-
Initial Appointment: Focused history, examination, and your first treatment. A clear plan is set so you know what to expect over the next few weeks.
-
Treatment: Gel is applied and you will feel a firm tapping sensation as the device moves across the area. Intensity is adjusted to your comfort.
-
Follow Up: We track your change in pain and function and progress the plan. Mild post workout style soreness can occur for 24 to 48 hours.
Massage + Shockwave option
-
When appropriate we include Shockwave within a Massage Therapy session. Your RMT treats related muscles and joints above and below the sore spot, then applies Shockwave to the focal area. This helps address the whole pattern, not only the symptom.
Shockwave Therapy - evidence based care
Shockwave Therapy is widely used in sports medicine and rehabilitation clinics around the world. It is an evidence informed option for tendon and soft tissue pain and is trusted by active people and clinicians.
